The Chinook “Resort Classic”
The “Resort Classic” series is a watercraft is built with the same standards in design, quality and workmanship that has gained Chinook a national reputation as one of the premier workboat manufacturers today.

Each boat is constructed from .125” or .188” marine grade 5000 series alloy aluminum. These pontoons are then filled with United States Coast Guard approved “closed cell” polyurethane foam. This foam adds both strength and rigidity to prevent pontoon damage water ingress. This provides for sustained floatation regardless of any impact or damage
to the exterior of the aluminum pontoon shell.

The standard deck has a non-skid treated marine grade plywood.

• The sturdy three-bar aluminum railing is rust proof and adds an important safety feature for public use.
• Comfortable, contoured seating can be made in any length with a variety of covering options to fit the boat's operating environment.
• A variety of canopy styles, including a collapsible aluminum canopy, can be added for increased operator and passenger comfort.
• A custom sized wrap around deck adds to the useable surface area of the platform and increases the capacity of the boat.

The Chinook “Resort Classic” Boats
Chinook pontoon watercraft is constructed using many of the materials and features used in the construction of the leading Chinook pontoon heavy-duty industrial work boats. This construction is used to create the Chinook line of products with a reputation for durability
and value.  

• These pontoon products do not rust or waterlog ,
  even if punctured or damaged.
• They resist animal gnawing and intrusion including muskrats and beavers.
• The marine grade “.125” aluminum pontoon shells are
  filled with USCG approved “closed cell”
  polyurethane foam to prevent water intrusion.
• Can be customized with the addition of signs, lights, cleats ,
  tie-downs, ladders, railings and gates, or other additions the
  end user may require.
• Will hold up to the harshest environments.
• Practically Maintenance free over extended periods.
• The V-shaped pontoon hull design offers more buoyancy and maneuverability than old fashioned round pontoons. Plus the unique nose plane baffles give greater stability at high speeds.

Metalite offers the pontoon products for use in both consumer, as well as marinas, resorts and government settings. They come with the industries leading warranty (10 years on the flotation) for years of trouble free enjoyment and value. The product design can be customized to fit any type of water condition or application. The decking may be altered with composite decking material or with other finishes including marine carpet and aluminum diamond plating.

The Chinook “Classic” Construction
The Chinook RESORT Classic is made up of two (or three) heavy duty rectangular pontoons.

The rectangular pontoon provides 1/3 more buoyancy that old fashioned tubular pontoons.

The added buoyancy increases the weight bearing capacity of the boat making it ideal for even the most demanding commercial applications. This feature also provides a safer, more stable ride in smooth or rough water.

High Quality Construction and Craftsmanship

For over twenty five years, the Metalite team has been designing and manufacturing some of the most versatile and durable watercraft and metal fabricated marine products anywhere in the world.

Metalite uses the most durable high quality pontoon material. Each pontoon is made of 5000 series Marine grade aluminum. The aluminum sheets are bent to conform to Metalite's design standards. These standards are based upon 25 years of knowledge and manufacturing experience in pontoon and pontoon hull design. The assembled pontoon shells are pressurized to insure a complete and solid
watertight seal.

Individual high strength 2' tubular aluminum bracing cross struts are set at 12”or 16” centers. This construction insures a secure and structurally sound bond between the decking and the pontoon structure.

Integrated Design, Features and Customized Solutions

Metalite offers the design and manufacturing expertise to provide the exact solution to meet the specific needs. The variety of integration can occur above the deck or below the deck.

A compartment recess can be built into the custom pontoon to allow for additional storage, fuel tanks, batteries and other electro-mechanical parts and equipment.




The hatch area can house many different items and features including an optional integrated fuel tank with an electrical gauge.










The finish of the sub-surface recess can be tailored to match the deck material and design. In this case the fuel tank has a flush mount spout with a lock lid and cap.

The outfitting of the Chinook “Classic Series” includes customer defined deck rails, storage compartments, command station seating, ladders and any other type of recreational or work related accessories.

Any of the Chinook boats can be customized to accommodate various storage size requirements and locations for life jackets, fishing or camping gear or other personal storage needs.

The Chinook Pontoon boat can be purchased with a dedicated trailer built to perfectly match the boat design. The trailer provides easy loading and unloading and is constructed by Metalite's TRAC PAC trailer division to insure proper design and weight carrying capability.
