These rugged “Ironhorses” can be built in various sizes from 4' wide and up to 40' long.
The boats can be designed to have a complete pontoon hull or a series of pontoons in combinations of 2, 3 or 4. The pontoon shell material is a high grade marine 5000 series aluminum with thickness of .090 .125 to .188 gauge.

Chinook pontoon boats use the finest and most durable materials and construction methods in the industry to insure years of high reliability and trouble free use. The pontoons
on Chinook boats use thicker marine grade aluminum alloy
of .125" to 0.188". This provides greater strength and durability for use in either fresh or salt water. The pontoon uses a “Shallow V - rectangular design. This approach provides 1/3 more flotation than round pontoons of the same size. The angular planing surface provides faster planing
and smoother ride regardless of water condition.

The heavy duty structural pontoons are filled with Coast Guard certified two pound density polyurethane. The polyurethane provides structural integrity and withstands impact making the boat safer and stronger. In the unlikely
event that the pontoon is punctured, the polyurethane foam prevents water ingress into the pontoon cavity to insure the safety of the vessel.
Your Chinook Pontoon Boat can be specified with almost any deck option including aluminum diamond plate, marine grade plywood, marine carpet ,or marine grade plywood
with water proof anti-skid vinyl decking. The decking options are determined based upon the intended application of
the boat. The Chinook design team will assist you in
making the selection that is right for your application.
The Chinook Series has a rugged industry leading construction (fluff). Chinook's rugged construction utilizes specially designed tubular aluminum struts instead of the common angular struts. These are placed at 12”, or 16” centers. The material can either be 2” tubular aluminum or 5” C Channel aluminum (what determines which one I get?). The durable strut and brace combination provides a solid substructure to insure the strength and durability of the deck attached to the pontoon mainframe. Unlike other pontoon boats, each of the struts on a Chinook Pontoon Boat are welded to the pontoon mating flange, insuring the long term structural integrity of the boat .
Motor pods are integrated into the pontoons. They are built with a high strength reinforcing and structural bulk head.

The “IronMan” series of watercraft is built with the same standards inquality and workmanship that has gained Chinook an international reputation as one of the most reliable and durable pontoon work
boats in use today. Each boat is constructed using .125 or .188”
marine grade 5000 series alloy aluminum for the pontoons shells. These pontoons are then filled with United States Coast Guard approved “closed cell” polyurethane foam. This foam adds both structural
strength and
rigidity to prevent pontoon damage and prevents
water ingress
and sustained flotation regardless of any compromise
of the
exterior of the aluminum pontoon shell.

Chinook pontoon watercraft is constructed using time tested materials
and manufacturing standards used in the construction of the leading
Chinook work boats for 20 years. This construction is used to create the
Chinook line with the durable and long lasting boat products anywhere.
The pontoons are made from 5000 series marine grade “.125 or .188” aluminum
pontoon shells which are light but provide greater durability and flotation.
The shallow “V” rectangular pontoon shell design provides for greater
buoyancy and load carrying capability than similar size round style
pontoons.
The pontoon floats are filled with USCG approved “closed cell”
polyurethane foam to prevent water intrusion in case of a hull breech.
The configuration can be in 2, 3, or full hull pontoon.
The decks can be customized with the addition of signs, lights, cleats,
tie-downs, ladders, railings and gates, or other additions
specific to your application.
You can also select additional accessories including power, power outlets, storage boxes, and seating based on your requirements.

The Chinook “IronMan” Construction The Chinook “IronMan” is made up of two (or three) heavy duty rectangular pontoons. The rectangluar pontoons provide 1/3 more buoyancy than old fashioned round pontoons of the same size.
The added buoyancy increases the weight bearing capacity of
the boat making it ideal for even the most demanding commercial applications. This feature also provides a safer, more stable ride in smooth or
rough water. High Quality Construction and Craftsmanship For over twenty years, the Metalite team has been designing and

Metalite uses the most durable high quality pontoon material. Each
pontoon is made of

Integrated Design, Features and Customized Solutions Metalite offers the design and manufacturing expertise to provide the exact solution to meet your needs. The variety of integration can occur above the deck or below the deck. A compartment recess can be built into the custom pontoon to
allow
for additional
storage, fuel tanks, batteries and other
electro-mechanical parts and equipment.
The hatch area can house many different items and features including an integrated fuel
tank with an electrical gauge.
The finish of the sub-surface recess can be tailored to match the deck material and
design.
In this case the fuel tank has a flush mount spout with a lock lid and cap.

Seats and Compartments The outfitting of the Chinook “IronMan” includes your choice of defined
deck rails, storage
compartments, command station seating,
ladders and any other type of work related
tools
and features. Heavy duty bulkheads separate the motor pods from the pontoon
main section. This design insures a durable transom bracket to
secure mounting and handing of the outboard motor
and controls without compromising the integrity and strength of the
pontoon
construction itself.
A Water Workhorse
Any of the Chinook boats can be customized to accommodate various storage size requirements and locations for life jackets, fishing or camping gear or other personal storage needs.
Chinook Pontoon boats can be purchased with a dedicated trailer
built to specifically match the boat design. The trailer provides easy loading and unloading and will be constructed by Metalite's TRAC PACK division to insure proper design, weight carrying capability.
